The festivities of La Plana are celebrated around the Monastery of La Mare de Déu dels Àngels during the last week of July and the first few days of August. This monastery was built in 1962 on the foundation of an old sanctuary in which a canvas of the “Virgen de los Ángeles” was found. Formerly when these dates arrived, the houses in La Plana would fill with Friends and families who ascended here to celebrate these festivities. The celebration of Mass and the procession were the central acts, along with the popular street dance.
