“Los colores del agua” (“The colors of water”) is a tribute to the sea that bathes the Xàbia coasts. According to their creator, the exhibition, which is housed in the Hotel Sol in Jávea , “is designed to express the huge chromatic range that the sea provides to us depending on the moment and what it provokes in us”. However, their author goes beyond the sea as a natural eco-system and extrapolates it “as a reflection of the sky which represents the soul” and with the poetic line of the horizon as the barrier that unites and divides the sky and soul with each other.

In August, both at IB Galería and interior·s (Jávea/Xàbia), Oscar Bento presents a selection of canvases corresponding to series he's been developing during the last decade: The Sea, Landcapes, Music, Wine and Chocolate ... The sensitive expression interpreting nature, music or the sensual idea of wine, arises from the most intimate Oscar Bento. Along this diversity of themes we find reflection, depth of colour and the powerful light of his paintings, which are the common thread of his artistic career, from its beginning until today.

Xàbia will be the setting for the second scoring round of the 20th edition of the Vuelta La Marina. An event that will bring together master cyclists and other categories from the Region of Valencia.

The race, organised by the Jávea Cycling Club, will cover a distance of 66 kilometres. The route will include the towns of Jávea, Jesús Pobre and Gata de Gorgos, with four laps and the finish line on Av. Àngel Domenech.
